Older clay soils derived from glacial outwash hold moisture late into the growing season and allow them to manage under-vine competition via mowing rather than cultivation. Modest crops and open canopies promote full ripening and a citrus driven fruit profile. Complex aromas of citrus, gooseberries and crushed herbs with a touch of tropical passionfruit.
